Straight answers to common Medicare questions

What does Medicare Advantage cover?

Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, bundles hospital and medical coverage and may include prescription coverage. Plan details vary, so check the provider network and current plan documents before enrolling.

How is Medigap different?

Medigap works alongside Original Medicare to help cover out-of-pocket costs such as deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. It cannot be combined with Medicare Advantage.

Can I switch my current Medicare plan?

Medicare Advantage and Part D changes generally require an applicable enrollment period, such as October 15 through December 7, or a qualifying Special Enrollment Period. Medigap has different enrollment and underwriting rules. Our team can review your current plan and help you compare your options.

What if I miss an enrollment window?

Missing your Initial Enrollment Period or another applicable window without a qualifying exception may result in late penalties. Ask our team about your situation before assuming you are out of options.

Where can I verify official Medicare information?

Use Medicare.gov, the official Medicare website, and current official plan documents to verify Medicare rules and plan details.
